If you're also a Rachel Green stan, then you would have definitely heard about this salad that the whole cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S ate for lunch for 10 whole years! Following the Tik Tok FRIENDS salad trend, Jennifer Aniston herself gave the real recipe to her famous salad.
If you're a salad lover, and like to experiment with new recipes, this one is for you! We have added grilled chicken (optional) that you can add to your salad bowl to increase its protein content and make it a complete meal.
INGREDIENTS (Serves 2)
Iceberg lettuce or Kale, chopped - 1 bowl
Tomato, chopped - 1/2 bowl
Boiled chickpeas - 1/2 bowl
Salami - 1/2 bowl
Crunchy turkey bacon - 1/2 bowl
Parmesan cheese - 2 tbsp
Italian dressing - 2.5 tbsp
Chicken breast, boneless - 400 gms
Yogurt - 1 cup
Salt - To taste
Pepper - 1 tsp
Italian seasoning - 1 tbsp
Paprika powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder (for colour) - 1 tsp
Lemon - half
Olive oil - 3 tbsp
Onion, for garnish
Step 1 - Add yogurt, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, paprika powder, kashmiri chilli powder, lemon and olive oil.
Step 2 - Mix the marinade properly
Step 3 - Cut the chicken in smaller pieces (as desired). Add the chicken to the marinade and leave it in the fridge for 1 hour
While your chicken is marinating, let's start working on the salad!
Step 4 - Chop the lettuce. You can also other salad leaves like Kale or Arugula depending on your liking. Add chopped tomatoes.
Step 5 - Boil chickpeas. Cook the salami and turkey bacon on a pan till it is brown and then cut it in small squares.
Step 6 - Add the salami and turkey bacon to the mix followed by some parmesan cheese and Italian dressing.
Step 7 - Now grill the chicken on a pan or in the oven. Add chopped onions when serving.
